Leonid’s music education began with learning how to play the piano, followed by saxophone at the age of 10. He graduated from the Gnesins Academy of music, majoring in saxophone. Leonid participates in many jazz ensembles and orchestras, such as O. Lundstrem’s orchestra, JVL Big Band, G. Lukianov’s and V. Gusseinov’s ensembles, with which he performed at jazz festivals throughout Russia and abroad. Leonid’s musical interests are not limited to saxophone—he plays the bass perfectly, which he has mastered himself.
