Timur started studying music, specifically the piano, at the age of 7. Later, he switched to clarinet and the guitar. He started playing saxophone at 14. Timur played in a teenage big band “Youth” in the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan.

He moved to Moscow in 1995, where he graduated from a jazz college (MOVUKI) and the Gnesins Academy of music, majoring in saxophone.

Timur is a winner of an International competition in Rostov-on-Don. Since 2003, he has been playing in the “Academic Band” under the baton of A. Korolla. Timur regularly performs with well-known Russian musicians, such as A. Suhih, I. Butman, A. Rostotskiy, P. Chekmakovsky, and others.
